Being a musician requires so much more than spending daily time in the practice room. Our philosophy is to go beyond the performer, to see the whole human being. Since 2018 we have developed an innovative course programme offering daily workshops on important topics related to a musician's life:

BENJAMIN PELZ, M.Sc.
Performance Psychology
Benjamin Pelz is a positive and clinical psychologist, as well as a speaker at international congresses. Himself a dedicated athlete, one of his main research foci is the application of sports psychology into other domains of psychology.
In his lecture at our Academy, Benjamin Pelz will explore how recent insights from performance and sports psychology can inform musicians in their professional life. After the lecture, there will be room for questions and debate.
DANIEL JOSUA KÖNIG
Yoga, Meditation, Sound Projection and Lutherie
Since his youth, Daniel Josua König has been fascinated by sound and the way it appears in our awareness. After two years of viola da gamba and lute building in Chile he studied anthroposophy in Witten and completed a Bachelor program in violin and lute construction with Haiko Seifert and Dr. Günter Mark, as well as a Master's degree of acoustic engineering with Gunter Ziegenhals.
Since 2004, Daniel has been teaching Kundalini Yoga, learning with yogis Gurmukh Kaur (USA), Jap Singh (Chile) as well as Dashmesh and Fateh Singh (Germany). As a student of Guru Dev Singh Khalsa (Mexico) he is one of the few instructors allowed to teach the meditative consciousness of Sat Nam Rasayan.
Daniel received his title of Master Craftsman in 2011 and opened a workshop for historical and modern string instruments in Leipzig the same year. He was invited to teach violin construction at the Universidad Austral Valdivia, Chile.
Daniel Josua König was born in Bielefeld, Germany, in 1980.
