Fan Yang - Accompaniment and Chamber Music

Fan Yang enjoys a rich chamber music career, performing in important music festivals through Europe. Her chamber partners have included reknowned musicians like Maria Kliegel, Johannes Moser, Antoine Tamestit, Matthias Buchholz, Veit-Peter Schuessler and Ingolf Turban.

She persued initial piano studies with Prof. Yiming Pan and Prof. Yuan Wu at Central Conservatory of music, Beijing, where she also studied composition with Prof. Sijun Liu and Prof. Guoping Jia. As the top grade student, she entered Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne to continue her studies with world classic composer and educator Prof. Krzysztof Meyer, as well as completing the "Konzertexamen" advanced degree in piano performance.

She is currently a faculty member at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne, working with students in the string classes.

Fan Yang is recipient of numerous chamber music awards, including the award for best accompanist at the Cologne String Competition, as wel as the "Janacek" prize at the Leos Janacek International competition, voted with unanimity of the jury.
